“I’m sure he had some weight on me, but I believe in my strength for bantamweight. It wasn’t a thing. Even in the third round, you could see I had the strength advantage and I was able to kind of manhandle him and have a dominant third round. … Just the length and the reach was something I had to overcome.”

Kelleher on the thought of staying at featherweight.

“My body and frame is more bantamweight. I have a shorter reach than some flyweights. So it probably wouldn’t be the smartest thing. I’m not the heaviest guy, either. Outside of camp, I’ll get to 160 (pounds), if that. But that’s the heaviest I get. These (1)45ers are walking around at like 180. They’re much bigger guys, so I’ll stay at bantamweight for now.”

Kelleher on what he wants next
“It’s nice to start early – January, first card of the year. I was happy about that. I’d like to fight four times this year (and) stay active, God willing. I like momentum. Back-to-back wins, it feels good to have that victory behind you and kind of move forward with it. Next time they’re in New York, I’m down for that. But now I’m hearing rumors it might not be in April (in Brooklyn). I was thinking that would be good timing for me. But any time they come back to New York, I’d love to fight in front of my home fans again.
