Four fighters released by UFC

MMA Junkie reported that the UFC has released four fighters: Michael Prazeres, Maki Pitolo, Jared Gooden, and Matt Sayles. Prazeres parted ways with UFC some time ago, but it has now been officially confirmed, as he asked for his release after failed drug test and 4-year suspension.

Prazeres, 40, has a 26 – 4 professional MMA record, including 14 fights in the octagon and his record in UFC is 10-4. During his career, Prazeres has fought with Gilbert Burns, Mairbek Taisumov, and Mads Burnell

Pitolo, 31, has a record of 13 wins and 9 loses in MMA competition. He entered the octagon 6 times, winning only once. In the past, he fought with Julian Marquez and Dusko Todorovic

Gooden, 28, has an 18-7 professional record with 4 appearances in the UFC, winning only once. After loss to Alan Jouban and Abubakar Nurmagomedov, he bounced back by knocking out Niklas Stolze. After that, he lost to Randy Brown and the UFC did not offer him a contract renewal. He already has a fight scheduled at the iKon Fighting Federation on January 21.

Sayles, 27,  stacked up 8 and 4 professional MMA record with 4 fights taking place in the UFC. Like other fighters listed in this article, he won only once.  He fought against Bryce Mitchell and Jordan Leavitt. The UFC did not offer him a new contract after the initial four fights.
